The line off Torreys- it's a real 'summit', although the perspective seen here from camp appears otherwise. Christy is the speck alongside the marked route'
Right after noon, snow was perfect

After skiing Grays, Torreys was next. With high traffic on both peaks due to Front Range proximity, we had an easy time following steps back towards the saddle and then the 500+ vertical feet up the ridge/southwest face. It was pretty nice up there, Christy was especially pleased to be there as this was her first double summit day.

After some creative route finding through patchier snow up high, we were able to find the more continuous lines lower down the SE face. Jill could watch the corn snow fly as we came back to camp.

We skied out the Peru Creek Road, a fitting end to the weekend as I would head to the Cordillera Blanca later in the week for a climbing trip. Torreys would wrap up my 2001 spring 14er season with three peaks skied, not that impressive.

2002 wouldn't be much better.
