It would be a month after my first day on Quandary that I would get a partner for another peak.

Dwayne was a friend from work. He would be snowshoeing with his snowboard on his back which might not be the most practical method but would get the job done. The phrase 'beggars can't be choosers' came to mind. I needed a partner.

We drove to the Roberts' Road trailhead and headed up between Mount Lincoln and Bross, following some old mine roads to the summit. The weather wasn't too good as I recall, windy in particular. I had a disposable camera so we took some pictures and headed down the other side of the mountain, traversing down and over to the top of the expansive Cameron Amphitheatre. Once out of the wind the snow softened and we had a pretty good run down and back to the car.

A week later I would try for Democrat.
